On the silver screen Anthony Quinn, born in Mexico in 1915 but raised in America, was the actor best known for his title role in Zorba the Greek and for his role in the 1952 Viva Zapata, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in addition to the same award for his role in the 1956 Lust for Life.
